Hanumant to face Saksham in Sub Jr Boys final

JAMMU, Nov 18: Hanum-ant will take on Saksham in Sub Junior Boys finals, while Akhilesh defeated Karmanya to win Cadet Boys title in the ongoing 38th Stag J&K State Table Tennis Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Table Tennis Association at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
In Cadet Boys summit clash, Akhilesh defeated Karmanya (3-0) to lift Cadet Boys title, Hanumant got better of Maya Mansotra by (3-0) and Saksham prevailed over Anuj Dutta by (3-0).
Earlier, in Youth Boys quarterfinal, Hanumant defeated Ketan by 3-2, Ritvik beat Saksham by 3-0 and Asad outplayed Anuj by 3-1.
In Men’s singles pre-quarter finals, Vasu Dewan defeated Ashank by 3-0, Dheeray Arora beat Ankit by 3-0, Gurvinder Singh Sasan got better of Faisal Mir by 3-0, Asad trounced Anuj by 3-0, Ritvik outclassed Ketan by 3-0, Sandeep Khadotra drubbed Paropkaar by 3-0 and Mannan defeated Hanumant by 3-0.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Satbir singh, Rajan Sharma, I.P Singh, Satish Gupta, Ajay Sharma, Vasu Dewan, Anil Dutta, Gurvinder Singh Sasan, Sandeep Khadotra, Shorya Sharma, Narinder Singh, Sheetal Gandotra and Sanjeev Gupta.
Ashok Singh, Manager MA Stadium and Narinder Singh were also present.
The matches were officiated by Narinder Kour (SAI coach), Sandeep Khadotra (NIS Table Tennis coach) and Meenu Rajesh.
