Hanan’s unbeaten 79 guides Asrarya Club to big win

JAMMU, July 16: Hanan Malik played a brilliant knock of unbeaten 79 runs to guide Asrarya Cricket Club to a big win by 10 wickets over Samina Cricket Club at Choghan Cricket ground Kishtwar, while LoC Cricket Club defeated Poonch XI by 29 runs in the semifinal at Sports Stadium Poonch to seal berth in the finals of the ongoing District Level JKCA Premier Championship, organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at different venues, here.
The Championships are being held under the patronage of JKCA Administrators and under the chairmanship of CEO JKCA, while the matches are being supervised by Members of JKCA Committee including retired Judge, Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal and Sham Saroop Kalsotra.
At Sports Stadium, Poonch, LoC Cricket Club defeated Poonch XI by 29 runs.
LoC scored 154 runs in 25 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Pankaj top scored with 54 runs, while in reply, Poonch XI managed to score 126 to lose the match by 29 runs. Imran scored 37 runs, while Asif from LoC Club took 3 important wickets. Pankaj Sharma of LoC Club was adjudged as the man of the match.
At Choghan ground Kishtwar, Asrarya Cricket Club thrashed Samina Cricket Club by 10 wickets in a one-sided contest.
Samina Club scored a modest total of 103 runs. Aqib top scored with 22 runs. Burhan and Sameer bagged 3 wickets each for Asrarya Club.
In reply, Asrarya Club chased the target easily in 14.3 overs, courtesy Hanan Malik’s unbeaten 79 runs off 62 balls, studded with 11 fours. Amir also contributed unbeaten 19 runs. Hanan Malik was adjudged as the man of the match.
