UDHAMPUR, Jan 28: The National Model Academy Smart School (NMASHS) organized the 2nd Majalta Half-Marathon & Rally in collaboration with District Police Udhampur and ICDS Majalta to raise awareness about a drug-free Majalta. The event, aimed at combating the growing drug menace, saw over 1000 participants, including boys, girls, and 100 Anganwadi workers. Flagged off by DIG Rayees Mohammad Bhat, the marathon began at NMASHS and culminated at Dheema. Participants carried anti-drug banners and took part in discussions on the symptoms of drug addiction. In the boys’ category, Ravi Dass won first place, while Lakshmi Devi claimed first in the girls’ category. Top runners received cash prizes and medals for their efforts.
