JAMMU, Aug 16: The Gymnastics Association of J&K is organizing a selection trial and training camp starting from August 18 at the Gymnastics Hall, MAM Stadium, Jammu, to scout and select talented gymnasts from all age groups across Jammu and Kashmir UT.
The camp is being held in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council and aims to prepare participants for the Aerobic Gymnastics National Championship 2025-26, scheduled to be held from September 8 to 10, 2025, in Kochi, Ernakulam, Kerala.
The organisers have asked participants to bring a copy of their Aadhar Card along with two passport-sized photographs for registration. The trial will be observed by Rajan Sharma, Chairman, Activity Committee and Tejinder Singh, Associate Secretary of the Gymnastics Association of J&K.
President Kiran Wattal, who is also Vice President of the Gymnastics Federation of India, stated that the camp is an excellent opportunity to identify and groom talent to represent the UT at the national level. The championship is being hosted by the Gymnastics Association of Kerala under the aegis of the Gymnastics Federation of India.
