JAMMU, Apr 23: Gurmeet Singh’s explosive 143 off just 62 balls powered Jaguar Cricket Club Simbal Morh to a resounding 138-run victory over Tawi Cricket Academy in the opening match of the Baisakhi Bash Knockout Cricket Tournament at Country Cricket Stadium, Jammu.
Jaguar CC posted a formidable 236/6, with support from Prabjoot Singh’s 41. In reply, Tawi Cricket Academy were bowled out for 98 in 12.3 overs, despite a lone fight back by Akash Gupta, who scored 61.
Ravpreet Singh starred with the ball, claiming 5 for 13, while Praful Dhar and Harveer Singh took 4 and 3 wickets respectively. Organised in association with Friends Cricket Club, the tournament kicked off with a dominant all-round show by Jaguar CC.
