JAMMU, Feb 13: Gujarat crushed Jammu and Kashmir by 70 runs in the Under-19 Girls One Day Tournament at Goa Cricket Association Stadium, Porvorium, today.
Jammu and Kashmir won the toss and put Gujarat into bat. Batting first, Gujarat scored a modest total of 1o1 runs in 31.3 overs. IM Patel top scored with 25 runs, while Tanya Patel contributed 17 runs to the total. From J&K, Iqra Rasool, Absar Ul Huda and Ananya Sharma took 2 wickets each.
In reply, J&K bundled out for a paltry total of 21 runs in 10.3 overs, thus lost the match by 70 runs. None of the batswomen could cross the double figure mark and Khushboo Jan and Iqra Rasool contributed 8 and 5 runs to the total respectively. Tanya Patel was the wrecker-in-chief from Gujarat, who took 5 important wickets, while Muskan Vasada and Hiralben Solanki took 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
