GNCC registers 6 wkts win over MSCC in inaugural tie

JAMMU, June 21: Gandhi Nagar Cricket Club (GNCC) registered 6 wickets win over Miran Sahib Cricket Club (MSCC) in the inaugural tie of the Ist Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh Gold Cup  T-20 Cricket Tournament  at Cantt Ground, Satwari.
Batting first MSCC scored 98 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Sachin scored highest 28 runs off 20 balls while Dammy made 13 runs.
From GNCC side, Sahil Khan claimed 3 wickets in 3 overs and gave 16 runs, whileas Gagandeep took 2 wickets for 19 runs. Arif Khan, Sukhvinder and Sahil Singh claimed one wicket apiece.
In reply, GNCC chased the target in 15.5 overs for the loss of just 4 wickets. Dheeraj Raina scored 30 runs off 10 balls and Sahil Singh made 26 off 16 balls. Arif Khan made 14 runs.
From MSCC side, Varinder and Jimmy scalped 2 wickets each, whereas Danny took 1 wicket.
Sahil Singh of GNCC was adjudged as man of the match for his all-round performance.
Earlier, the tournament was declared open by Rattan Lal Gupta, Ex MLC and vice president J&K National Conference in presence of Surinder Singh Bunty, provincial president, J&K Youth National Conference.
The tournament is being organised by Youth National Conference Gandhi Nagar.
