GNCC enters semis of Holi Cup T20 Tourney

JAMMU, Mar 22: Guru Nanak Cricket Club (GNCC) defeated Trikuta Cricket Club by 3 wickets in a high scoring match to enter semifinals of the ongoing Holi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being played at Mandal Cricekt ground, here.
Winning the toss and batting first, Trikuta Club scored a decent total of 176 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process. Irshad top scored with 53 runs, while Micky and Narinder contributed 40 and 26 runs to the total respectively. For GNCC, Sunny took 2 wickets and Rahul Jamwal claimed one
In reply, GNCC chased the target in 19.2 overs by losing 7 wickets, thus won the match by 3 wickets. Rimple top scored with 58 runs, while Rahul Gorkha contributed 52 runs to the total. For Trikuta Club, Irshad took 2 wickets, while Lucky, Monu and Narinder claimed one wicket each.
The match was officiated by Rajeev Gupta, Virender Singh, Achit Mehra and Sohan Bharti.
