HIRANAGAR, Mar 11: The Girdari Lal Dogra Memorial (GLDM) Trust here today distributed financial aid under Merit-cum-Means Scholarship scheme to the meritorious students of GLDM Government Degree College, Hiranagar.
This initiative was aimed at providing support to the academic journey of deserving students from the region.
Nidhi Dogra Sharma, daughter of Late Girdhari Lal Dogra (renowned social reformer, politician and son of the soil) along with Munish Dogra, distributed scholarship cheques to 49 students.
On this occasion Nidhi Dogra expressed her deep connection to Hiranagar and shared her happiness in assisting students of the region.
She encouraged the students to remain focused on their studies and continue striving for excellence.
Dr. Pragya Khanna, Principal of the College, welcomed the guests and applauded the efforts of the Trust in motivating students through financial support.
The ceremony was attended by various faculty members including Prof. Kawaljeet Kour, Prof. Bindu Sharma, Dr. Poonam Kamotra, Prof. Amit Sharma, Prof. Amit Singh, Dr. Vijay Kumar, Prof. Surinder, Dr. Rajni, Prof. Ganga, Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Prof. Balwinder and others.
Proceedings of the event were conducted by Prof. Rakesh Sharma, Convener of Scholarship Committee, while Prof. Neeru Sharma, Head of the Department of Environmental Sciences, concluded the ceremony with vote of thanks.
