Girl education vital for growth, development: Sunil Sharma

KISHTWAR, Oct 26: Adarsh Balniketan School Kishtwar celebrated its 55th annual day with Minister of State for R&B, Revenue, Sunil Kumar Sharma,  as chief guest on the occasion.
The function started with traditional lighting of lamp  followed by  presentation of the annual school report by the Principal , Ganesh Vandana  and mesmerizing cultural programme by the students.
Appreciating the role of the institution in promoting education since the past 55 years, Minister said that school has the history of producing brilliant students who have excelled in different fields. He underscored the need for providing a congenial atmosphere to students and asked for constitution of committee of experts for upgradation of the school infrastructure.
The Minister said that education of girls is a vital tool for overall growth and development besides empowerment of the entire family. He appealed the people to ensure that all girls in their areas get proper education.
On the occasion, the Minister and other dignitaries donated Rs 3 lakh for development of the institution.
The function concluded with presentation of awards to the winners and toppers.
