GGM Science College wins Inter-Collegiate Kho Kho (Women) title

JAMMU, Nov 27: The Cluster University of Jammu hosted the Inter-Collegiate Kho Kho (Women) Tournament at Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar.
Chief Guest, Dr. Twinkle Suri, Dean Academic Affairs, praised the university’s initiative in promoting traditional Indian sports and highlighted how sports build resilience, teamwork, and leadership among young women. She appreciated the guidance of Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director, Physical Education and Sports, in strengthening the university’s sports culture. Dignitaries were warmly welcomed, with Kajal Premi, Physical Director, GCW Gandhi Nagar, presenting a bouquet to Dr. Suri and Prof. Rajinder Kumar extending a bouquet to Dr. Bakshi.
The tournament saw spirited competition, with GGM Science College defeating SPMR College of Commerce in the opening match and narrowly beating GCW Gandhi Nagar by 12–11 in the final. Aakriti of GGM Science College was declared Best Player. The event was supported by Ravi, Prof Vijender Kumar, Prof Upasana, Prof Poonam Kesar, Prof Rohit Gupta, Prof Paramjeet Singh and Dr Seetu Raina, with matches officiated by Sahil Dev Singh, Sahil Kumar, Sunil Sharma and Shamshad Bano.
