JAMMU, Aug 2: Government Gandhi Memorial (GGM) Science College, Jammu signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) to foster cricket talent and promote sports among students.
The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal, GGM Science College; Brig Anil Gupta (Retd.), Member Administration, JKCA; Ashaq Hussain, Convener, College MoU Committee; Devinder Kumar Sharma, In-charge Sports; Maqeem Ansari; and JKCA officials Mithun Manhas, Vidya Bhasker and Vivek Khajuria.
Romesh Kumar Gupta said the MoU would provide students with professional coaching, upgraded infrastructure, and exposure to competitive cricket. He emphasized the upgradation of the college’s cricket ground and holistic sports development.
Brig Anil Gupta reaffirmed JKCA’s commitment to supporting young talent through trained coaches, tournaments, and infrastructure access. Ashaq Hussain termed the MoU a shared commitment to youth empowerment through sports. Devinder Kumar Sharma highlighted new opportunities in sports science and training.
