JAMMU, Oct 31: GGM Science College registered a remarkable double victory by winning both the Men’s and Women’s Badminton Inter-Collegiate Tournaments for the session 2025-26, held at Police Line, Gandhi Nagar and organized by Govt. MAM College, Jammu.
Principal Dr. (Prof.) Romesh Kumar Gupta congratulated the teams for their outstanding performances and called their success a proud moment for the college. He appreciated the efforts of Dr. Devinder Kumar Sharma (I/C Physical Director), Dr. Bilal Ahmed Malla (PTI), Prof. Sanjay Kumar and Prof. Asha Sharmhal for promoting a vibrant sports culture.
In the Men’s section, GGM Science College defeated Govt. SPMR College of Commerce by 3-0. The team comprised Nishant Sharma, Harshit Sharma, Piyush Mehra, Zaigham Salaria and Priyatam Singh, with Harshit Sharma declared Best Player of the Tournament.
In the Women’s section, GGM Science College beat GCW Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, by 2-0. The winning team included Tejasvi Sharma, Bhumi Jaswal, Sana Thakur, Sonia Dogra, Neha Sharma, with Tejasvi Sharma named Best Player of the Tournament.
