GDC Udhampur faces MAM College in men’s summit clash

JAMMU, Sept 8: Outplaying their rivals convincingly in the semifinals, GDC Udhampur and MAM College sealed berth in the finals of the Inter-Collegiate men’s Badminton Tournament today and will lock horns with each other in the summit clash, here tomorrow .
Earlier, in the 1st semifinal, GDC Udhampur defeated GDC Kathua by 3-0. Dhananjay Sharma showed outstanding skills and won both of his matches in singles as well as in doubles, while in 2nd semifinal, MAM College outplayed PG Department by 3-2.
The matches were officiated by Ravish Vaid, Manmohan Sharma, Pushap Thakur, Taranpal Singh, Rakesh Verma and Ankit Sharma.
Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu witnessed both the semifinals and interacted with the players on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Raj Kumar Bakshi,Vikas Karlopia, Vinay Manhas, Harvinder Singh, Balvinder Singh, Gurvinder Raj Verma, Sanjay Sharma, Sudesh Bhagat, Balbir Singh and Raj Kumar.
