GCW Parade, GCET register wins in Inter-Collegiate Badminton

JAMMU, Sept 10: Government College for Women (GCW) Parade, GCW Gandhi Nagar, GGM Science College, Jammu and GCET Jammu registered wins in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Badminton Tournament for Men and Women, being organized by the University of Jammu, here.
Earlier, GCW Parade defeated Law School by (2-0). In singles, Sapna beat Harpreet Kour by (21-9, 21-6), while in doubles, Sapna and Navjeet got better of Antra Pandit and Harneet Kour by (21-15, 21-9).
In other match, GGM Science College prevailed over New Age Degree College by (2-0). In singles, Diksha drubbed Nisha Devi by (21-4, 21-5), while in doubles, Diksha and Anshu defeated Veena and Kirti by (21-3, 21-7).
In another match of women section, GCW Gandhi Nagar outplayed Commerce College Jammu by (2-1). Suvidha lost to Prabhjot Kour by (13-21, 16-21) and Pratiba got better of Anjali by (21-7, 21-12) and in doubles Suvidha and Ishan outclassed Prabjot and Anjali by (21-7, 21-12), while in another match of women section, GCET defeated GDC Billawar by (2-0). In singles, Parul Jamwal drubbed Pooja Sharma, while in doubles, Parul and Shagun defeated Pooja and Manika.
In the last match of women section today, GDC Paloura defeated GDC Kathua by (2-0)
Meanwhile, in men’s section, GDC Kathua defeated Bhartiya College of Education by (3-2). Abishek Gupta and Ankit Mahajan were the winners, while in another match, Law School got better of GDC Samba by (3-2). GDC Udhampur thrashed GDC Paloura by (3-0), GCET beat GDC Billawar by (3-0), while GDC Hiranagar and PG Department got walk over against their rivals and MAM College outplayed GGM Science College by (3-1).
