JAMMU, Feb 7: The Physical Education Department of Government College for Women, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, organized an exciting intramural cricket match between Team Chenab and Team Tawi at the college grounds. The event, held under the guidance of Principal Meeru Abrol, aimed to encourage physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among the students.
In a thrilling contest, Team Tawi, captained by Jaspreet, emerged victorious, defeating Team Chenab, led by Bhumi, by a significant margin of 60 runs. Both teams exhibited exceptional skill, teamwork and determination throughout the match, captivating the audience with their competitive spirit.
Sumreen Kaur of Team Tawi was named the Man of the Match for her stellar performance, which played a crucial role in securing the win. Goyal Giri, PTI, played an essential role in organizing the event, ensuring smooth conduct and fostering enthusiastic student participation. Principal Meeru Abrol lauded the efforts of the Physical Education Department and emphasized the importance of sports in promoting discipline, leadership and overall well-being.
