JAMMU, Nov 17: G D Goenka Public School, Jammu, celebrated its Annual Day, ‘Aahvaan 2024,’ with great enthusiasm and grandeur.
The chief guest on the occasaion was Yasin M. Choudhary, Managing Director of Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) and Jammu & Kashmir Power Corporation Limited (JKPCL). Also present were the Chairperson Rahul Bansal, Director Sanya Bansal, and esteemed members of the management, including Suman Bansal.
The event was graced by special guest Shweta Garg, along with the Principal Arindam Roy Choudhury, Dean Academics Susmita Roy Choudhury, coordinators, parents, teachers, and students.
The Principal, Arindam Roy Choudhury, presented the annual report, highlighting the school’s remarkable progress over the past year. Yasin M. Choudhary delivered an inspiring address, motivating students to excel in their future pursuits.
The awards ceremony recognized students for excellence in academics, sports, and cultural activities. Teresa House won the Best House in Sports Award, with House Captains Abhiraj Bansal and Manya Jain receiving the honour. Dhanvin Malhotra and Priyasha Sudan of Tagore House bagged the Best House Cultural Award.
The event continued with vibrant cultural performances, including a theatrical presentation on Chanakya, showcasing his teachings on leadership and governance. Ayaana Sharma delivered a vote of thanks.
