Furious Real Kashmir Girls FC beats DPS Girls by 3 goals

Srinagar, Nov 7: Real Kashmir Girls Football Club trounced DPS Girls Football team by 3 goals in a match organised by Army at DPS Ground Athwajan, here today.
Major Gen Raju Chauhan, General Officer Commanding (GOG) of 31-Sub Area Srinagar was the chief guest. “I am thankful to all the participants who participated in the event including their parents who made it happen. We have been organizing such events almost everywhere for last some time,” he said.
He said that the conduct of such events is largely aimed at making sure that more and more girls come out and participate in the game. “We also want to take football which is already popular in Kashmir to another level,” he said.
The participants of the event were enthusiastic and said that they are happy that such an event has been organized. They said that they want that more such events should be held in future.
“I am playing for the last 3 years, and I have represented my school at the State level. Parents are cooperating and I am imitating my brothers who are also playing the game,” said Aisha, a DPS student.
Another student, who was playing with the Real Kashmir Girls Football Club said that Girls are not less than boys and that the society has to change such a perception and should allow more and more girls participate in the games.
