JAMMU, Apr 19: On day five of Sarbat Da Bhalla National level Invitational Hockey tournament, four quarterfinal matches were played here today.
In a gripping showdown, RCF Kapurthala triumphed over SGPC Amritsar with a scoreline of 2-1, showcasing exceptional skill and strategic prowess, notably exemplified by Sahil, whose goalkeeping heroics stole the spotlight and was adjudged as man of the match.
New Gurdaspur surged ahead with a commanding 9-2 victory against Srinagar XI, led by the outstanding performance of Sehaj Preet Singh, earning him the coveted Man of the match title.  Gurdarshan Singh (Retd) was the Chief Guest of the match while Balbir Singh was guest of honour.
The Punjab & Sind Bank, a star studded team which includes four international players was the main attraction of the day but Bathinda XI surprised everyone by defeating Punjab & Singh Bank via Shoot out by 5-4. Ragav Veer Singh was adjudged as man of the match who also scored a hat-trick of the match.
Gudeep Kumar Olympian was the coach of P&SB.  Rakesh Gupta, Joint Commissioner and Assistant Chief Executive Officer Jammu Smart City Ltd were the Chief Guests sand Jatinder Pal Singh, GM operation Smart City Ltd & E-buses was the guest of honour of the third match.  The last quarter final of the tournament was in progress. IGP (Rerd) J.P Singh was the Chief Guest and Tejinder Singh Raju was the Guest of Honour of the match.
Three teams who have already qualified for tomorrow’s semi final are  RCF Kapurthala, Bathinda XI & New Gurdaspur XI and the fourth will be the team who will win the last quarter final to be played between Punjab Police and Y.B Club  Sujjanpur.
The matches were supervised by the officials of Hockey India. Anjali Thakur KIC Coach, Baljit Kour Coach, Soniya Hockey player & Jagjit Singh Hockey Coach and Dalvinder Singh Hockey Coach assisted Hockey India officials for the smooth conduct of the matches.
