Four JKCA prodigies earn spots in BCCI CoE’s Elite U-19 Boys Camp

JAMMU, Apr 4: In a proud moment for Jammu and Kashmir cricket, four standout prodigies from the J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) have been selected for the BCCI Centre of Excellence’s (CoE) prestigious U-19 Boys Elite Camp, scheduled from May 11 to June 6.
The elite quartet comprises left-arm seamer Solib Tariq, dynamic all-rounder Faizan Ahmed, explosive batting all-rounder Dhruv Sharma, and stylish top-order batter Shiva Thakur. Their selection follows exceptional performances in this season’s U-19 tournaments, earning them the nod from the national junior selectors.
JKCA has been instructed to ensure its physiotherapist and doctor certify the players’ fitness using the formats provided in the official letter from VVS Laxman, former Test cricketer and Head of Cricket at BCCI CoE. The selected players are required to report at their designated venues on May 10.
Hailing these young stars as “special talents with immense potential,” Brig Anil Gupta, Member-Administration, JKCA, remarked, “This is a golden opportunity for them to shine on the national stage and elevate J&K cricket to new heights.”
