Four J&K fencers to represent India at Asian Cadet Cup

19JAMMU, Sept 18: Four fencers from Jammu and Kashmir have been selected to represent India at the Asian Cadet (Under-17) Fencing Cup, scheduled from September 18 to 22 at IGI Sports Stadium, Haldwani, Uttarakhand.
The athletes include Antalya Jamwal, Eknoor Kour, Vinayak Sharma and Nishtha. Their selection follows their strong performance in the 20th Cadet National Fencing Championship 2025-26, where they represented J&K under the banner of the J&K Fencing Association. Displaying skill and determination, they earned a place in the national squad for the upcoming international event.
Secretary of the J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul, extended best wishes to the team. JKFA president Vijay Kumar and Secretary General Advocate Supriya Chouhan expressed confidence in the athletes’ future prospects, while former international fencer and referee Rashid Ahmed Choudhary, along with other senior fencers, underlined the importance of this achievement for the sporting profile of the Union Territory.
