Football Tournament under ‘Khelo India’ concludes

JAMMU, Feb 1: Football Tournament played under Khelo India scheme and organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports Doda and sponsored by Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports concluded today at Government Higher Secondary School Ghat.
District Youth Service and Sports Officer, AK Kotwal supervised the tournament in which 200 players of Ghat zone participated.
In the concluding ceremony, ZPEO Ghat, MR Uttam distributed trophies and medals among winners and runner up teams.
In under-17 boys category, LHS Bhatta defeated HSS Shiva by 5-3 goals in the final match, whereas in girls category, HSS Ghat defeated GMS Ghat and emerged winner in the summit clash.
In under 19 boys category, HSS Ghat defeated HS Hanch by 4-1.
Meanwhile, two-day long football tournament organized by State Sports Council as a part of Government of India’s Khelo India scheme concluded at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Mendhar and Government Higher Secondary School Harni.
Captain M Pandey was the chief guest on the occasion, who awarded the winners and runners-up boys and girls.
On the valedictory function, Lecturer Naseer Ahmed Khan was guest of honour. The event was organized under the supervision of Incharge Sport Officer Mendhar Zone Lecturer Mir Alam and Zonal Sport Officer Harni Zone Sunil Kumar.
Khelo India Football Tournament by Department of Youth Services and Sports commenced at MV International School Samba Zone Vijaypur. The tournament was declared open by the Principal of the host school KL Dogra. The tournament is being organized by Sunil Kumar DYSSO Samba and has been played under the supervision of Ashok Kumar Zonal Physical Education Officer Vijaypur.
In under 17 to 19 boys final, Government HSS Rahya lost to MV International School by 3-0 goals, whereas in the first match of 13 to 16 years boys category, Government HS Suchani registered win over Government RSM HSS Rahya by 1-0 and in the second match, Government HS Sujwani lost to Government MS Ranjari by 5-3.
In 6 to 10 years category, BPS Supwal Vijaypur defeated MS Bari Kamila by 2-1 in the first match and in the second match, MV International Vijaypur registered win over Praveen Model HS Supwal by 3-0.
The matches were officiated by Ram Parsad, Ram Pual, Bachan Khajuria, Joginder Sharma, Sudershan Kumari, Mohinder Kumar, Naresh Kumar, Deep Kumar, Jyoti Jamwal, Dalbir Singh, Kiran Bala, Rajni Devi and Raju Sharma.
Football Tournament under Khelo India scheme commenced at GMS Rarian, Zone Ramgarh. The tournament was declared open by Principal Government Higher Secondary School Gho Brahmana Ram Saroop Sharma. The tournament is being organized under the supervision of Vijay Singh Slathia, ZPEO Ramgarh and is being officiated by Sarita Bandral, Rakesh Verma, Promila Sharma, Chander Prakash, Sanjay Gupta, Dildar Singh, Dheeraj Singh, Daljeet Singh, Sadiq Hussaon, Sudesh Choudhary and Kapoor Chand. Rakesh Charak, Headmaster GMS Rarian was also present on the occasion.
In 6 to 12 years category, MS Bandral beat MS Ramgarh and GHS Makhaha beat HS Swankha, whereas in 13 to 16 years category, GHS Swankha beat GHSS Gho Brahmana and GHSS Nandpur registered win over GHS Koulpur. In 17 to 19 years category, GHSS Ramgarh defeated GHSS Nandput and GHSS Gho Manhasa defeated GHSS Ramgarh.
