JAMMU, July 15: 16 fencers including 12 boys and 4 girls have been selected to represent Jammu and Kashmir in the forthcoming 4th Mini National Under-12 Fencing Championship to be held from July 20 to 22 at Nasik in Maharashtra.
While Mayank Sharma, Abhishekh Chib, Amit Chib and Poorvak Suri have been selected for sabre boys event, the team of Naman Bakshi, Vansh Sharma, Aryan Chandel and Mridual Marwaha have been picked for foil boys event.
Aryan Manotra, Barth Sangral, Anurag Kesar and Tanish Mahajan are in the epee boys team, while Ananya Mahajan, Shreya Gupta and Vanshika Dogra have been selected for foil girls event.
Ananya Sharma will represent the State in sabre girls individual event.
Shottu Lal and Monika Sharma will accompany the team as coaches, while Ujjwal Gupta and Javed Ahmed will be the managers.
The screening committee comprised of Sports Officer Rajan Sharma, Manager MA Stadium Ravi Singh and general secretary J&K Amateur Fencing Association Vijay Sharma.
