DODA, June 19: Fearless Knight Team Doda secured their first victory in the ongoing Martyrdom Cricket Tournament organized by Doda Police at Government Higher Secondary School Ghat. The tournament, held in memory of martyrs, aims to promote sports and steer youth away from drugs.
Amira Nagar Bhadarwah team won the toss and posted a target of 144 runs in 12 overs. Fearless Knight Team chased down the total with strong batting performances from Ajay Katoch (42 off 28 balls), Naveet Sharma (42 off 20), Salman Sheikh (24 off 9) and Sandeep (30 off 12). Captain Vikas contributed 6 quick runs.
The bowling unit also shone, with Vikas, Dev Thakur, Sonu Sharma and Ranveer each taking 2 wickets, while Assar claimed 1. Naveet Sharma was named Player of the Match for his explosive innings. The team celebrated the win with a dinner party and looks forward to their next match in the tournament.
