DODA, Nov 5: In an exciting match at Sports Stadium Doda, the Fearless Knight team claimed their first victory in the Jammu Kashmir Premier League (JKPL) 2024, organized by Wali Sports Club Bhalessa, defeating Mansoor Brother Basti by 57 runs. Winning the toss, captain Vikas opted to bat, setting a challenging target of 180 runs in 16 overs.
The Fearless Knight’s innings were powered by Naveet Sharma, who scored an impressive 64 off 36 balls, and Ajeet Kumar, who added 54 off 25 balls. In the bowling department, Salman Sheikh took 3 wickets for just 12 runs, while Sonu Sharma and Ajeet Kumar grabbed crucial wickets, securing the win. Ajeet Kumar was awarded Man of the Match for his all-around performance.
Organizer Akhyar Zargar highlighted the tournament’s role in Doda’s sports culture and emphasized the need for stadium investment to support young talent with potential for future IPL opportunities.
