JAMMU, Aug 26: Superb batting by Hardeep Singh helped Ever Shine CC to register emphatic win over Vijaypur CC by 75 runs in Veterans Cricket Cup and entered in the finals, being organised at Government Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, near here today.
Ever Shine CC won the toss and elected to bat first in the first semi-final match and scored 146 for the loss of five wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Hardeep Singh made highest 64 runs, while Manjeet Singh and Deny Singh contributed 40 & 17 to the total respectively. From bowling side, Joginder got two wickets, while Lucky Singh, Ruby and Gora shared one wicket each.
In reply, Vijaypur CC bundled out at 71 runs in 16 overs wherein Lucky Singh scored highest 34 runs while Gora and Pintu contributed 18 and 10 runs respectively. From bowling side, Peter bagged four wickets, whereas Ricky and Bansi shared two wickets each and Dany got one wicket.
Hardeep Singh was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance with bat. Abhitash Sharma and Vikas Bali acted as umpires whereas Manav Mehta was the score of the match.
The tournament is being organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor.
