Erin Mir breaks into Top 10 in AITA U-12, Top 100 in U-14

JAMMU, Jan 20: Erin Mir, an 11-year-old talented tennis player from Jammu and Kashmir, has made remarkable progress in the All India Tennis Association (AITA) rankings, marking significant milestones in her career. On January 13, 2025, Erin secured the 7th position in the AITA Girls Under-12 rankings, with 438.75 points.
Erin’s rise to the Top 10 has been swift and impressive. Prior to her current rank, Erin was placed 18th on December 31, 2024, with 408.75 points, and 17th on December 23, 2024, with 411.25 points. Her consistent performance across various tournaments helped her steadily climb the rankings.
In addition to her success in the Under-12 category, Erin has also broken into the Top 100 of the AITA Girls Under-14 rankings. She first achieved this milestone on December 23, 2024, after starting her Under-14 journey with an initial rank of 932 in December 2022. Erin has spent three weeks in the Top 100 of the Under-14 rankings, further solidifying her place as one of India’s top young talents.
Erin’s accomplishments are particularly significant as she is currently the only player from Jammu and Kashmir in the Top 10 and top 100 respectively. Her journey serves as an inspiration to young players in the region, showcasing the power of dedication and hard work.
