JAMMU, June 25: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Jammu, concluded a two-week Refresher cum Orientation Course at the Sports Training Centre, Nagrota, today. Around 80 PETs, PEMs, and PELs from across the UT participated in the training, which covered Volleyball, Kho-Kho and Thang-Ta disciplines.
Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu, Vinakshi Koul, presided over the closing ceremony and distributed certificates and track suits to the trainees. She emphasized the need for participants to “percolate down” the knowledge gained during the course to the grassroots level.
The course, inaugurated on June 11 by DG YSS Anuradha Gupta and outgoing DG Rajinder Singh Tara, featured nine expert resource persons. Officials expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn new techniques and pedagogies. The event was attended by key officers, and proceedings were conducted by Rajesh Dhar, Lecturer in Physical Education.
