JAMMU, Sept 17: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), District Jammu, today kick-started the Inter-School District Level Selection Trials and Inter-Zonal District Level Competitions for U-19 and All Age Group (AAG) boys at various venues across Jammu.
Competitions in the disciplines of Badminton, Kurash, Hockey and Netball are being held at different venues, while events in Table Tennis, Yoga and Wrestling commenced at MA Stadium, Jammu.
The competitions are being conducted under the overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma. The matches were officiated by departmental experts and technical officials including Sanjay Khajuria, Kamal Singh, Sunil Abrol and others. In today’s U-19 Boys Badminton quarterfinals, Heritage beat St. Xavier’s, IDRS Chowadhi defeated MIER, APS Akhnoor overcame KC Gurukul and DPS Jammu won against APS Domana, all by 2-0 sets.
