JAMMU, July 29: The Department of Youth Services and Sports Jammu today commenced Inter School District Level selection trials in Gymnastics, ThangTa, Roller Skating and Handball at MA Stadium and SD Bazaar Sabha Rehari, aiming to identify the best students to represent the district in upcoming competitions under the aegis of Director General Anuradha Gupta, with guidance from Vinakshi Koul and Jetinder Mishra and supervision by DYSSO Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
In Roller Skating AAG Boys, U 11 quads short race winner was Harsh (KV-2) followed by Vivaan (KCI); U 11 500 m inline saw Mridul (DPS) in first and Vihaank Khajuria (Air Force School) in second; U 14 quads champion Ayan (Shangrila Public School) with Adwait (GD Goenka School) runner up; U 14 500 m inline title went to Tabish Haider (JMPS) ahead of Naitik (APS Jammu); U 17 500 m quads gold was claimed by Arnav (Raina Hr. Sec.) with Lakshayveer Singh (MHAC) second; U 17 500 m inline honours went to Abhinav Bakshi (SP Smart) and Saransh Bhat (GD Goenka); U 19 500 m quads saw Shaurya stood first and Praful (Jammu Sanskrit School) second; and U 19 500 m inline title was won by Abhinam Luthra (Jammu Sanskrit School).
These competitions are being conducted by experts of the department including Geeta Devi, Anil Dogra, Sunny Dogra, Jatinder Kumar, Gurdeepika Kour, Krish Gupta, Neeru Jablia, Mayank Jain, Jatinder Kumar, Sunil Abrol and Nitin Sharma including different committees and other technical officials of the department.
