JAMMU, Feb 1: The faculty member of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) Dr Indu Bhushan has been awarded the prestigious Raman Post Doctoral Fellowship to be pursued in USA by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, Governmen of India.
The fellowship will be hosted under the guidance of Dr Ram B Gupta, Associate Dean for Research, School of Chemical and Life Science Engineering, Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, USA.
Dr Indu Bhushan is presently working on isolation of industrially important enzymes from the Himalayan region for applications in pharmaceutical industry for the biosynthesis of drugs molecules. He will work at Richmond for the efficient production of drug molecules by Bio-Nanotechnology.
