DPS Nagbani hosts Annual Sports Meet

JAMMU, Feb 1: Delhi Public School Nagbani hosted its much-awaited ‘Rise n Shine’ Annual Sports Meet, bringing together students, teachers and guests in a celebration of athleticism and sportsmanship. The event was graced by Athar Amin Zargar, SDM-Marh, as the chief guest, whose presence motivated the young athletes to compete with zeal and enthusiasm.
The event kicked off with a vibrant welcome song and balloon release, followed by a motivating speech from Principal R K Verma. Emphasizing the importance of sports in shaping discipline, teamwork, and character, Verma set a positive tone for the day. The oath-taking ceremony saw students pledging to uphold the values of integrity and fair play.
The Junior School segment featured fun races such as the Sack Race, Spoon Race and Hula Hoop Race, showcasing the students’ agility and teamwork. In the Senior School, high-energy competitions in Skating, Basketball, Volleyball, Football and Badminton captivated the audience.
Ganga House emerged as the overall winner of the prestigious ever-rolling trophy. Bhawna Madaan, Headmistress, concluded the event with a heartfelt vote of thanks. The event was organized under the supervision of Harashita Singh, Activity Coordinator.
