JAMMU, Dec 16: Doon International School (DIS) Jammu celebrated its 8th Annual Day with immense enthusiasm and fervour. The event, themed “The Indian Melange: Bhartiyata Ka Adbhut Sangam,” showcased the remarkable talent, resilience, and spirit of the school’s students and faculty.
The ceremony was graced by chief guests Vikram Randhawa, MLA, Bahu, and Javaid Iqbal, MLA, Budhal. SGM Andrabi, retired SSP and Joint Secretary, Indian Institute of Public Administration, J&K, served as the guest of honour, while special guest Shazia Kousar also marked her presence at the event.
The success of the Annual Day was attributed to the leadership and dedication of the school’s management team, including Chairman G.N. Tantray, Vice Chairman M.A. Tantray, Principal Dr. Vikesh Kaur, Vice Principal Dr. Sarita Moza Koul, Directors Leesan Ul Nabi and Ehsan Ul Nabi, and Headmistress Shivali Singh Pathania.
Principal Dr. Vikesh Kaur presented the annual report, outlining the school’s achievements over the year. The event concluded with a vibrant Bhangra performance, followed by a rendition of the school song and the national anthem, leaving the audience filled with pride and unity.
The 8th Annual Day celebrated the school’s commitment to nurturing talent, fostering resilience, and promoting the human spirit, reflecting DIS Jammu’s vision of excellence.
