Doon International School celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Feb 17: Doon International School, Jammu, celebrated its Annual Day for the senior wing, marking a monumental milestone-ten years of pedagogical excellence. Themed “The Decade of Dreams”, the event offered a reflective journey of the institution’s transformative ascent from its inception in 2015 to 2025.
The celebrations were graced by Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Commissioner Secretary, Department of Science & Technology, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, as chief guest. Col Harinder Singh attended as the special guest, while S G M Andrabi (Retd.), Senior Superintendent of Police, was the guest of honour.
Principal Dr Vikesh Kaur presented the decade report, chronicling the school’s evolution from a nascent establishment to a regional hub of holistic learning. The narrative highlighted the institution’s academic, cultural and social milestones, captivating the audience.
The event was orchestrated under the leadership of Chairman G N Tantray, Vice Chairman M A Tantray and Founder Principal Dr Vikesh Kaur, with invaluable support from Directors Leesan Ul Nabi and Ehsan Ul Nabi and Academic Managers Gazia Khan and Silma Sehrish.
Senior students mesmerized the audience with vibrant performances portraying the school’s ten-year journey, reflecting the faculty’s commitment to nurturing creativity and excellence. Event coordination was managed by CCA Coordinators Amardeep Kaur and Avneet Kaur, under Headmistress Shivali Singh Pathania.
In a heartfelt finale, Vice Principal Dr Sarita Moza Koul delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to parents for their trust and commending staff dedication in shaping the school into a sanctuary of growth, learning, and character-building.
