Dogra College of Education organizes Essay Writing Competition

JAMMU, Nov 20: An Essay Writing Competition was organized by the N S S Unit of Dogra College of Education on the occasion of “National Integration Day” in the premises of the College, under the guidance of Rajni Manhas Programmer Officer N S S.
The topic of the Essay was “Role of Youth in Promoting National Integration”.
40 volunteers participated in the competition.
Earlier, Shefali Sharma Vice Principal Dogra College of Education motivated the students by stressing upon the fact that an attachment for one’s own Nation, the sentiment of belonging to a particular Nation, an attitude of love towards a particular Nation are the  indices of National Integration.
She further said that the youth can play a predominant role in raising the spirit of Nationalism in the Society.
The panel of judges included Poonam Gupta, Indu Puri and Sumer Singh, senior Lecturers of the College.
Monika Bakshi was adjudged 1st, while Aprajita Sambyal and Asha Rani were declared 2nd and 3rd respectively and Geeta Devi bagged the consolation prize. Prizes and certificates were also distributed among the winners.
Prof B D Damral, Principal of the College was also present on the occasion who said that such type of healthy competitions should be frequently organized so that the youth of today can come forward and contribute for the development of the Nation.
