REASI, Aug 19: The District Shooting Championship, organized in collaboration with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), concluded successfully at the SMVD Sports Complex, Katra.
The event was graced by Druv Gupta, Director Sports, SMVD Sports Complex and Assistant CEO, SMVDSB, as the chief guest, and Sanjeev Kotwal, Nodal Officer, SMVD Sports Complex, as the special guest. They were welcomed by Manu Partap, president and Dr Sourabh Kesar, vice president, District Rifle Association.
In the results of the 10m shooting events, Vishali Sharma and Yashika Sharma bagged the top two spots in the Youth Pistol category, while Sanjeev Singh, Rishab Dubey and Mangal Singh emerged winners in the Senior category.
In Sub-Youth Pistol, Divyansh Rajput secured first place. In Rifle events, Aarya Sharma won the Sub-Youth title, Vijay Kumar topped the Masters category, while Nitin Singh Janwal and Danish Sharma stood first and second respectively in the Senior category.
Shooters qualifying under the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) norms will now represent Reasi district in the upcoming State Championship.
