SAMBA, Sept 1: Yoga Association of Jammu and Kashmir organized Samba District Yogasana Sports Championship at Sunlight High School, Utter Behani here today.
Seventy Yoga players across the district participated in the championship, which was declared opened by local dignitaries. Chief guest of the event, Rajinder Kumar (Principal of the School) awarded medals and certificates to the winners of the championship in various categories.
Manan Mathur, Lakshay Kumar and Akhil Sharma won top 3 positions in Boys (8-10 years) event while Karuna Bhagat, Parianshi and Ishanvi Madla got 1st three ranks in Girls (8-10 years) event.
In 10-12 years (Boys) event, Anuj Bhagat, Kartik Sharma and Naman Sharma stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively whereas in Girls event in the same age group, Prachi Sharma bagged 1st position, Neha Devi secured 2nd position and Monika Choudhary got 3rd rank.
Armaan Pangotra, Munish Bhagat and Tanish Arora won top 3 ranks in Boys (12-14 years) event while Janvi Aithemia, Himanshi Pangotra and Kushi Choudhary got top 3 positions in Girls (12-14 years) event.
In 14-16 years (Boys) event, Ayush Sharma won top rank, Harsh Singh got 2nd and Arun Singh secured 3rd position.
The event was held under the supervision of National Refree and Judges of the Yoga Federation, Mukesh Sharma and Aryaaveer Singh.
