BANDIPORA, Jan 3: The Taekwondo Association of District Bandipora (TADB) is set to organise District Bandipora Taekwondo Championships 2025–26 under the aegis of J&K Taekwondo Association and J&K Sports Council. The championship will be held from January 6 & 7 at Sports Hall, Ali’s Sports Academy Unit, Nowgham Bandipora, under the banner of the “My Youth My Pride” initiative.
The championship will feature competitive bouts across Sub-Junior, Cadet, Junior and Senior categories, providing a vibrant platform for young taekwondo athletes of the district to showcase their talent, discipline, and sportsmanship.
The organisers have emphasized strict adherence to rules and guidelines to ensure fair play and smooth conduct of the event. A JKTA Athlete License is mandatory for all participants and Black Belt Certificates are compulsory for senior athletes as per the guidelines of the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI). Athletes must also submit a duly signed registration form, Aadhar Card, JKTA license and valid date of birth certificate.
The decision to conduct the championship was taken unanimously during a meeting of office bearers chaired by Faisal Ali Dar, President Taekwondo Association of District Bandipora.
