District Poonch Jr Boys Hockey C’ship gets underway

POONCH, Oct 23: District Poonch Junior Boys Hockey Championship, being organized by Hockey Poonch, got underway at Sports Stadium, here today.
In the inaugural match, Stadium Yellow defeated Stadium Orange in a thrilling contest.
Earlier, the match ended in (2-2) draw in the stipulated time and the decision of the match was only possible in the penalty shootouts, wherein Stadium Yellow team emerged winners. For Stadium Yellow, Ajaz scored the goal in 15th minute and Nissar netted the goal in 51st minute, while for Stadium Orange, Sharan scored in 35th minute and Vikas in 59th minute.
The match was officiated by Mohd Shokat, Ishtiaq Ahmed and Mukesh Kumar.
The Tournament is being conducted under the overall supervision of Sham Lal Sharma, retired SAI Hockey coach and vice president Hockey J&K.
