REASI, Feb 15: The inaugural cricket match under Civic Action Prpgramme (CAP) organized by District Police Reasi was played at Sangum Stadium Sungri, here.
The match was inaugurated by SDPO Mahore, Majeeb-ur-Rehman Bhat (JKPS) in presence of Tehsildar Chassana and SHO Chassana.
The match was played between Sugga Warriors and HCC Thareela.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Sugga Warriors put on a total of 128 runs in 15 overs. Balbir Singh scored 32 runs off 16 balls while skipper Karnail Singh contributed 25 runs off 19 balls. From HCC Thareela, Ghulam Nabi took 3 wickets.
Chasing a total of 128 runs, HCC Thareela bundled-out for paltry 52 runs. Onkar and Amrik took 3 wickets each for Sugga Warriors. Amrik Singh was declared as the man of the match.
The tournament is being organized by District Police Reasi in which a total of 16 teams from Sub Division Mahore are participating.
The tournament is being held under the supervision of SSP Reasi, Tahir Sajad Bhat.
