UDHAMPUR, Mar 22: To promote healthy lifestyle and to discourage drug abuse among the youth, District Police Udhampur here today organized a Volleyball Tournament at Government Middle School Garhi. Youngsters of different areas of Udhampur participated in the tournament.
Dy.SP Headquarters Udhampur, Prehlad Kumar was chief guest on this occasion.
Others present were SHO Police Station Rehambal and locals of the area.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest said that sports activities are a must for healthy youth and Jammu Kashmir Police is providing opportunities and platform for such sports activities to the youth.
Apart from this, floodlights were also provided by District Police Udhampur for the Volleyball ground of GMS Garhi ensuring that young players can continue their practice even during evening hours.
At the conclusion of the event, prizes were distributed to the winning team.
