UDHAMPUR, July 28: The District-Level Inter-School Tournament for U-19 boys concluded with over 170 students participating in disciplines including Wushu, Badminton, Chess, Basketball, Table Tennis and Gatka.
Pushpinder Kour, ZPEO Tikri, graced the occasion as chief guest, while Vijay Kumar, ZPEO Pancheri, was the guest of honour. Both applauded the energetic participation and highlighted the role of sports in promoting fitness and discipline among youth.
Pushpinder Kour emphasized the importance of staying focused and encouraged students to support the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ by leading drug-free lives. Vijay Kumar appreciated the efforts of the District Youth Services & Sports Office and thanked field officials for the smooth conduct of the tournament.
Winners included GHSS Garhi and SIKS Udhampur in Wushu, APS in Badminton and Chess, BBSV in Basketball, Laksh Dev Singh (AOC) in Table Tennis and Samar Preet Singh (Happy Model School) in Gatka.
