
t Kulgam Carrom Championship 2024-25 concluded today, attracting enthusiastic participation across all categories. Organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Carrom Association under the “My Youth My Pride” initiative of the J&K Sports Council. The competition featured four categories Cadets, Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior for both boys and girls, with a significant turnout from across the district.
During the closing ceremony, Mohd Shafi, Manager of the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, Quimoh Kulgam, distributed medals and certificates to the winners and runners-up. The ceremony was attended by Mir Tajamul, Khokho Coach; Arif Sultan, Treasurer of the J&K Carrom Association; and several senior players, who praised the participants for their passion and sportsmanship.
In the Senior Men’s category, Aijaz took the first place, followed by Sameer as the runner-up and Yawar in third place. In the Junior Boys category, Faizan secured first place, Javaid was the runner-up, and Farik claimed third place. Lihaan triumphed in the Sub-Junior Boys category, with Furqan as the runner-up and Hazik Khanday in third place. In the Cadet Boys category, Soman emerged first, followed by Azhar in second place and Ilham in third place.
In the Junior Girls category, Sadia Sabzar won first place, Muntaha Bilal was the runner-up, and Tamana Mehraj claimed third place. Aisha Showkat clinched first place in the Sub-Junior Girls category, with Adeena Sajad as the runner-up and Hadifa Amin in third place. In the Cadet Girls category, Fatima Khalid secured first place, Arooba Adil took second place, and Aisha Bint Ishaq finished in third place.
