KATHUA, Oct 11: The District Kathua Fencing Championship 2025-26 concluded here today witnessing the participation of over 100 fencers from across the district.
The event was organized by the District Kathua Fencing Association under the aegis of the J&K Fencing Association (JKFA).
The championship was held at Garden of Children High School, Dewal Billawar.
The closing ceremony was graced by the chief guest Satish Sharma, MLA Billwar.
Major Dushant was guest of honour and Mohit Gupta, Sansar Singh and Amreek Singh were special guests.
Others present on the occasion were Ravinder Kumar, president, Kathua District Fencing Association, Lal Chand, general secretary, Kathua District Fencing Association, Makhna Lal, treasurer, Kathua District Fencing Association and Parbhat Singh, organizing secretary.
The Championship was conducted by Mohit Sharma (Technical Director), Dheeraj Sharma, Vivek Sharma, Tarun Salaria, Shippa Khajuria, Kajal Sharma and Mansi Sharma, as Technical Officials.
Medals and certificates were awarded to winners across different categories wherein under-17 Sabre Boys, Vansh Raina won Gold, Abhinandan Verma, Silver, Raghu Nandan, 1st Bronze and Abhi Verma, 2nd Bronze; in under-17 Epee Girls category, Banshika Verma won Gold, Radhika Sharma, Silver, Bhumika Thakur, 1st Bronze and Hemani Devi, 2nd Bronze; in under-12 Sabre Boys category, Shivay won Gold, Agrim, Silver, Vivaan, 1st Bronze and Pranav, 2nd Bronze; in under-12 Sabre Girls category, Ruhanika won Gold, Adwita, Silver and Aangvi, Bronze; in under-12 Foil Boys category, Nawam won Gold, Advik, Silver, Varun, 1st Bronze and Sarvagya, 2nd Bronze; in under-14 Epee Boys category, Saksham won Gold, Dakshesh, Silver and Aryan, Bronze; in under-14 Sabre Boys category, Shivaansh won Gold, Arjun Pandit, Silver, Nishant, 1st Bronze and Sahil, 2nd Bronze; in under-14 Foil Girls category, Ridhma won Gold, Khushi, Silver, Sofia, 1st Bronze and Swati, 2nd Bronze; in under-17 Sabre Girls category, Prachi won Gold, Sahira, Silver and Tanvi, Bronze; in under-17 Foil Girls category, Ashvi won Gold, Ramsha, Silver; in Under-14 Epee Girls category, Samiya won Gold, Mansi, Silver, Iqura, 1st Bronze and Sheroza, 2nd Bronze; in under-17 Epee Boys category, Gorav won Gold, Aditya, Silver, Sahil, 1st Bronze and Sumit, 2nd Bronze; in under-14 Sabre Girls category, Kritika won Gold, Smriti, Silver and Adity, Bronze; in under-14 Foil Boys category, Aditya won Gold, Aayush, Silver, Mohit, 1st Bronze and Harsh, 2nd Bronze; in under-17 Foil Boys category, Jateeen won Gold, Akhil, Silver and Parul, Bronze; in under-19 Epee Girls category, Tabassum Anjum won Gold, Jyoti Devi, Silver; in under-19 Foil Boys category, Ajay won Gold and Kartik, Silver; in under-19 Epee Boys category, Rahul won Gold and Devansh, Silver and in under-19 Sabre Boys category, Anayatullah won Gold while in Open Sabre Boys category Mayank Sharma won Gold.
