JAMMU, Aug 10: The 2-Day District Jammu Taekwondo Championship concluded at Kotli Bhawan, Rehari, Jammu, with around 200 students from various schools and clubs participating enthusiastically.
Organized by the Jammu District Taekwondo Association under the Taekwondo Association of Jammu & Kashmir (TAJK), the event aimed to promote martial arts, physical fitness and sportsmanship among youth while identifying talent for higher-level competitions.
The championship was inaugurated and graced by chief guest Arun Khanna, Chairman, Health and Sanitation Committee, Jammu Municipal Corporation. Guests of honour included Ravinder Sharma (Treasurer, TAJK) and Qimti Lal Jain (General Secretary, TAJK), along with other dignitaries like Mukesh Thakur and Pawan Singh.
The event witnessed disciplined performances and competitive spirit, leaving a lasting impact on participants and spectators. The organizers reiterated their dedication to nurturing Taekwondo talent and further strengthening the sport in the region.
