JAMMU, Oct 10: The District Jammu Kurash Championship commenced at Bhagwati Nagar Indoor Stadium. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 294 players representing various schools and clubs across Jammu, competing in different weight and age categories.
The opening ceremony was graced by Brijesh Sharma (SP Rural Jammu) as chief guest and Paramjeet, chief warden of civil defence, as guest of honour. Sharma thanked the Amateur Kurash Association for the invitation and praised its efforts in promoting the traditional martial art among youth.
