District Doda Taekwondo C’ship concludes

DODA, Jan 18: The 5th District Doda Taekwondo Championships 2024-25, organized by the Taekwondo Association of District Doda under the aegis of the J&K Taekwondo Association and J&K Sports Council (JKSC), concluded with great enthusiasm at the Indoor Sports Hall, Doda. The championship saw over 150 players from various schools and clubs in District Doda showcasing their talent in a competitive environment.
The closing ceremony was attended by chief guest, Deputy Commissioner, Doda Harvinder Singh, who felicitated the medalists for their outstanding performances. Other dignitaries at the event included Senior Supretendent of Police (SSP) Doda, Sandeep Mehta, Tariq Qazi (District Social Welfare Officer Doda) and Parvaiz Khandey (SHO Doda). Special Guests included Suresh Singh (Observer, JKSC), Suresh Kumar (ZPEO) and Dr. Rohail.
The championship was organized under the leadership of Junaid Ali Khan (President, Taekwondo Association of District Doda) and Burhan Ud Din Khan (Secretary, TADD), who ensured the smooth conduct of the event.
In a fiercely contested competition, Shield Taekwondo Academy emerged as the Winner’s Trophy recipient, Falcon Taekwondo Club secured the Runner-up position, and Chenab Sports Academy earned the Second Runner-up position. The medalists have earned the opportunity to represent District Doda at the upcoming 27th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships.
