District Baramulla Carrom C’ship concludes

BARAMULLA, Mar 25: The District Baramulla Carrom Championship 2025-26 concluded with a grand closing ceremony at the Indoor Sports Stadium, Khawaja Bagh. Organized by the District Baramulla Carrom Association under the J&K Carrom Association and in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, the two-day event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 140 players representing schools and colleges across the district.
Adil Rashid Shah, President of the J&K Carrom Association, welcomed the esteemed guests, appreciated the talent and sportsmanship displayed, and congratulated the winners, runners-up, and third-place holders. He announced that the top performers will represent District Baramulla at the 5th J&K UT Level Carrom Championship 2025-26 at SKICC Srinagar from 29th to 31st March 2026. Special appreciation was extended to Showkat Ahmad, Incharge Sports Stadium Khawaja Bagh, and Zubaida Ahad, Organizing Secretary, for their pivotal role in making the championship a success.
In the Cadet category, Khatija Binti Rafi of St. Joseph School claimed first place in girls, followed by Alima and Arbeena Riyaz (DPS Baramulla). In boys, Hashim Manzoor (Unique Educational Institute) won first, with Syed Ashraf and Mohammad Abdullah securing second and third positions.
For the Sub-Junior category, Iniya Javeed (Faizan Public School) topped the girls’ section, followed by Aqsa Muzaffar and Amina Sajad (DPS Baramulla). In boys, Numair (Unique Educational Institute) claimed first place, with Mohammad Faheem and Shahid Mushtaq completing the podium.
In the Junior category, Sehajveer Kour (St. Joseph School) won the girls’ title, followed by Safa Khursheed and Hibba Khalid (DPS Baramulla). In boys, Faizan Firdous topped the event, with Shamik Nazir (HSS Dobgar) and Aman Jeelani finishing second and third.
In the senior category, Toiba Shakeel (Faizan Public School) won the women’s title, followed by Manpreet Kour and Gagan Jot Kour. In men’s singles, Saqib Majeed (Government Degree College) secured first place, with Muzamil Majeed (Unique Educational Institute) and Abaan Javid finishing second and third.
