ANANTNAG, Sept 17: The District Anantnag Carrom Championship 2025-26 concluded today at Multi-Purpose Indoor Sports Complex, Bijbehara, showcasing enthusiastic participation from carrom players across the district. Organised by the District Anantnag Carrom Association under the aegis of the J&K Carrom Association and the J&K Sports Council’s “My Youth My Pride” initiative, the championship featured competitions across various age groups.
In the cadet category, Sheikh Mohammad Humayon and Nabeela secured first positions in boys and girls respectively. Ayaan Khan and Fatima topped the sub-junior categories, while Izan Khan and Ayat Amir won in the junior section. In the senior category, Muneeb and Arbeena Javid emerged as champions. The event, postponed earlier due to floods, concluded with a medal and certificate distribution ceremony led by Mohammad Shafi and Arif Sultan Khan.
