Dikshant, Aarav help Jammu XI to lift Jammu Budding T-20 Cricket Tourney title

JAMMU, June 30: Magni-ficent batting performance by Dikshant Kundle and Aarav Mahajan helped Jammu XI to crush JRA Cricket Academy Jalandhar and to lift the title of the Jammu Budding T-20 Cricket Tournament for U-16 players, organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Club, at GGM Science College hostel ground, here today.
Batting first, JRA Cricket Academy scored 140 runs for all out in 27.3 overs. Kumar Aryan played a splendid inning of 85 runs.
From Jammu XI side, Devesh scalped 3 wickets, while Aarav Mahajan, Dikshant Kundal and Sachin took two wickets each.
In the second inning, Jammu XI chased the target in 20 overs without losing any wicket, Dikshant Kundal chipped in some crispy shots, scored 86 runs and remained not out, while Aarav Mahajan also support Dikshant by scoring 33 runs and remained not out.
Dikshant Kundal of Jammu XI was adjudged as Man of the Match for his all round performance.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Madan Lal as umpires, while Sandeep Manchanda maintained the scoreboard.
On the valedictory function, Harvinder Kour, Senior KAS Officer was the chief guest, who awarded the winner in presence of Sidhant Samnotra, who was guest of honour. The Best Batsman award was presented to Aarav Mahajan, while Best Bowler award was clinched by Ronak Bhambhi and Man of the Series title was bagged by Kumar Aryan.
